お茶会では茶道具も重要な役割を担っています。主な茶道具を簡単にご説明させていただきます。
掛軸は、お茶席の道具のなかで最も崇拝と敬意を受けます。一般的に掛軸は禅僧、家元または茶道関係にゆかりの深い人物もしくは有名な画家によって描かれたものです。客人は茶室に入った際、最初に掛軸に対して筆者に対する敬意を表し敬礼をいたします。また茶室のなかで唯一敬礼を行わなければならないものです。掛軸の種類には、墨、一行書き、懐紙、色紙、短冊、画賛などがあります。
A hanging scroll in a Tea Ceremony is usually related to a Zennist, the head house or people deeply related with tea ceremony. It is usually created by a reputational calligrapher.
Among all the tea set for the ceremony such hanging scroll receives the highest worship and respect. When the guests enter the tea-ceremony room they, first of all, salute the hanging scroll. This is a sign of respect to the calligrapher,s character who is deserved respect most at a tea-ceremony.
There are several kinds of such hanging scroll for the tea party such expressed in black ink, in a line, Kaishi, colored sign paper, strip of paper, and an drawing and painting, etc.
花入れとは文字通り花を生ける器のことです。茶席の中で用いる花は比較的簡素で季節感のあるものとし、且つ茶道具と調和がとれている花といたします。
A flower vase is a container to arrange flowers. At the tea ceremony the flowers for such arrangement are comparatively plane type of flowers with a seasonal character.
And they must be harmonized with a set of instrument for the tea ceremony.
湯を沸かす釜にも表面がすべすべしているものやざらざらしているものなど、さまざまの形の釜があります。炉用(冬)と風炉用(夏)の区別があり、また大中小と釜の大きさも異なり主な釜だけでも50種類位あります。
There is various shape of iron pots to boil water and they are distinguished between a hearth ( the fire place to boil the iron pot for winter time) and a fire pot ( fire place on the mat for summer time). Large or small, there are about 50 kinds of major iron pots for the tea ceremony. The texture of these pots are all different, some are smooth, and the others are rough on the surface.
水指とは釜の湯が不足した時に水を注ぎ足したり、茶碗や茶筅などをすすぐ水を蓄えておく器のことをいいます。水指は持ちやすい形に作られていて、口の部分には湯杓が入る大きさが必要とされています。金属製、陶磁器製、木竹製、ガラス製等があります。
Water Jar for the tea ceremony is a container to supply water in a pot when the water in the pot is short. It is basically a container for reserved water to rinse a tea bowl and a tea whisk.
A water jar is designed to be useful for a comfortable grasp of shape and the part of the beak has to be enough size for the ladle that supply water in the water jar. They are usually made from metal, ceramic, wood, bamboo and glass.
